What a fun block! Gorgeous too! I’m still going with a “local” theme for my place names so this time I used Calabogie Lake. Notes on Block 3: When tracing the word lettering take care to think ahead to stitch size for the tails on the letters. They look really nice when the tail […]
Gorgeous work! Connie had so much fun she went looking for more things to colour and Marilyn is busy making BOTH Hook Line and Sinker AND Gingerbread Square! Way to go ladies!!! We’re having fun with names! White Lake, Big Rideau, Oak and Wendigo Lakes (I’ve even heard of that one!) and good old “Wilbur’s” […]
The April class schedule at the Quilting Quarters in Almonte has been posted and I will be teaching three classes-Stained Glass Quilting, Fabulous Flowers and the Seminole Runner from Atkinson Designs. Details are on my website and on the Quilting Quarters web site. I would also like to welcome Four Pines Quilting-they are running a […]
Congratulations to Caren! She takes home the kit for “My Favourite Birch” in glorious Shimmer fabric. Thanks everyone for participating, the support has been great, and look for new things coming soon (maybe another draw?) I will be adding some kits to the web site shortly as I get them made up.
Got another update from a very nice lady who made the birch tree in our class. She’s the one who put the field of sunflowers in the background. Great job Nancy and I do love those flowers!
My Little Contest closes tomorrow night (Sunday March 16). Don’t miss out on your chance to win the kit to make “My Favourite Birch” in the gorgeous Shimmer fabrics! Follow me on Facebook or drop me a line through the website and you’re in.
Had a great day hanging out at the Farm show in Ottawa demonstrating crayon embroidery and needle felting! Fun times with Nancy, Mary and Joanne (oh yeah, and lots of big tractors!) May have been -32 Celcius this morning but it felt like spring in there. That’s me in the Sheep Jacket 🙂
I’m doing this festive crayon embroidery from Crabapple Hill along with their Hook Line and Sinker quilt. Our crayon embroidery group has ladies working on one or both so I figured I had better get on board. I am doing this one a little backwards as a bit of an experiment-I will be receiving the […]
It’s a very blustery, snowy day out there so it’s a great time to get some work done and hide indoors! Some updates for the spring (I know it’s coming!) In addition to paper-based patterns, Annies is now carrying PDF Downloads of a selection of my patterns. Just signed up a new shop, Quilt Shop […]
It’s done! And it’s beautiful! I am really happy with how this one turned out and can’t wait to start Block 3. So here is the benefit of my experience with this gorgeous block: READ THE DIRECTIONS-once again I got carried away and dove right in. When will I ever learn? When tracing the design […]
