Got another update from a very nice lady who made the birch tree in our class. She’s the one who put the field of sunflowers in the background. Great job Nancy and I do love those flowers!
My Little Contest closes tomorrow night (Sunday March 16). Don’t miss out on your chance to win the kit to make “My Favourite Birch” in the gorgeous Shimmer fabrics! Follow me on Facebook or drop me a line through the website and you’re in.
Had a great day hanging out at the Farm show in Ottawa demonstrating crayon embroidery and needle felting! Fun times with Nancy, Mary and Joanne (oh yeah, and lots of big tractors!) May have been -32 Celcius this morning but it felt like spring in there. That’s me in the Sheep Jacket 🙂
I’m doing this festive crayon embroidery from Crabapple Hill along with their Hook Line and Sinker quilt. It’s done! And it’s beautiful! I am really happy with how this one turned out and can’t wait to start Block 3. So here is the benefit of my experience with this gorgeous block: READ THE DIRECTIONS-once again I got carried away and dove right in. When will I ever learn? When tracing the design […]
My Little Contest closes March 16, pass the word…
I just got a great email from a relatively new quilter-look what she made! I love where the quilt is hung-might have to do some (re)decorating around here! I really enjoy getting these emails and seeing what people have done with patterns. Great work Sally!
I have now added a class/workshop page to the web site and have started a new blog section for the Block of the month classes I’m teaching at The Quilting Quarters. Still trying to make sure all the feeds are working right….sigh. Crayoning is so much more fun!
Thought I might use this spot to highlight a fun Block of the Month I am teaching at The Quilting Quarters. I will update it each month with tips and pictures-promise! We’re working on Crabapple Hill’s Hook Line and Sinker and Gingerbread Square. I am cheating on the Gingerbread Square quilt as a fellow quilter […]
