Block 4, Campfire (available at Elite Quilting in Barrie)

Ahhh campfires! Nothing like sitting around the fire in the evening listening to the flames crackle and the kids and racoons fight over marshmallows. Once the mosquitoes go to bed you can relax and just enjoy the day’s end. One of the best things about summer camps and camping is the daily ritual of bonding around the fire. We used to watch the sunset and settle in to share stories about our day or just daydream while watching the flames dance. Often there would be a burst of activity to collect pine cones to plop in and watch. My family were never great sing-songers, but I loved campfire singsongs as a kid-I need to find a campfire singing group!
