Postcards from Muskoka Block 2 and 3 Beach and Loon
Block 2, Beach and Block 3, Loon (available at 3 Gals and a Quilt Shop in Huntsville)
I spent a few years just outside of Huntsville at good old Camp Tawingo. Many fond memories! Tawingo introduced me to the great outdoors at the ripe old age of 8 years old. We had “tame” wildlife at the outdoor centre, “Swamp Lodge”, and not so tame life sometimes in the swimming area. I remember a very large snapping turtle who liked to hang out in the “yellow” area under the dock. Sometimes that rock you were standing on wasn’t!
We had a lovely beach/swimming spot but it wasn’t until I was back in the area with my kids that we actually got to do the beach umbrella stuff. I have lots of memories of sand/mud drip cities spanning across beaches, then the fun at the end of the day when we knocked them down so we could do a re-design the next day! The beach umbrella was usually for the dog, we were too busy.
